Emma & Ben
12/12/24 At Home in Shropshire
Emma and Ben first got in touch in April 2024, and from the initial enquiry their wedding sounded like a dream. They both lived in Australia, Emma Australian and Ben British. They organised an Australian ceremony with Emmas family and friends and then be having a second ceremony for Bens family in Shropshire. They booked my Micro Package and added a Film extra, which made me beyond excited to shoot their day on Film. They were looking for candid, authentic photographs which really represented their day.
I arrived to Bens family home at 11.30am, where everyone was in full swing of getting ready for the day. I was greeted by Bens dad (who created all the flowers!!) and soon felt a part of the family! These getting ready pictures have been my favourite so far, just so authentic and warm.
We then moved onto the private intimate church for their ceremony. We had a misty day on the 12th December, which I think adds to the atmosphere to the church.
Before we drove to the next location, a quaint pub in Wales for their wedding breakfast. We captured our couple portraits around the church and the grounds. Again all shot on film and digital.
My last hour with Emma & Ben was at their wedding breakfast. Continuing with the the intimate wedding day, it was a lovely set up, a warm wholesome room.
Emma & Ben's day was definitely one of my favourite weddings ever. I loved being a part of their special day and left feeling like one of the family.
'We hired Sophie to capture our intimate winter wedding in December 2024. From the first contact to the last, Sophie was incredibly personable, warm and down-to-earth, making us feel completely comfortable - we knew we were in safe hands.
We wanted lots of candid shots with family and she certainly delivered, because I barely noticed her taking any photos and yet we were given a gorgeous heart-warming album full of gorgeous organic moments. She clearly knows her stuff. Everything was easy and went smoothly on the day and we adore our photos. I’d certainly recommend Sophie.'
