Work of Art

Harriet and Stefanos got married on Saturday 8th July at Manchester Art Gallery. The location oozes sophistication and romance. I was spoilt for choice for photo opportunities, wherever you turn, surrounded by beauty.

Harriet and Stefanos contacted me at the start of the year, we had a great chat and I was very excited to photograph their day. I could tell they would like a relaxed approach to the day but to ensure to get those details. To keep our minds at ease, we met at the venue a month before the day, to choose some locations for the formal photos.

On the day, I arrived at MAG at 2.30pm, eagerly awaiting decor and flowers to be set and the guests to arrive. I love to get the little details, as well as your traditional posed imagery. Close up of flowers, location setting and candid spontaneous moments you may just forget.

I delivered Harriet and Stefanos full gallery 4 weeks after their wedding day. And got a marvellous response and review from them both:

‘Sophie is a wonderful, extremely talented photographer and I am so happy that we found her for our wedding! All the photos are so warm and relaxed, and really reflected our wedding day. Looking through them, Sophie was clearly very thoughtful about where/when to take each shot, as she always seemed to have been in exactly the right place at the right time! She captured so many lovely, genuine moments, in addition to the formal photos. Before the day, Sophie was very responsive and we had several chats about the format and the photos we’d like. We also met up at the venue to plan some of the photos, which was really reassuring. Sophie is lovely and was a wonderful presence on our wedding day. I think her pricing is also very fair and great value for money, compared to other photographers we looked at. I really wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her - you’ll be lucky if she’s free!!’

Three Campaigns and One AMAZING Location

I travelled to Malaga, for a few intense days to shoot in a brilliant location! Within the location we shot three campaigns for three separate collections, the three collections exclusive to Castore. We utilised the location from Sunrise to Sunset, capturing the cool blues as the sun rose and the red/purple hues as the sun set.

Kinetic Campaign, shot in a white basin, clean and minimal with strong shadows.

Horizon, shot with Hannah Williams running through the hills of Malaga.

Infinite, shot at sunrise with calisthenics as a focus. If you would like to discuss a shoot or campaign, you can see more of my work here, and get in touch!

Sarah and Francesco got Married!

When I describe this wedding, it has every component of a dream wedding.

Italian scenery, boat ride across Lake Como, x2 CEREMONIES, elegant guests, tasty Italian food, plenty of drink and of course the happy couple. Sarah and Francesco who are the two most beautiful, kindest people and were the beating heart of the party. I am quite biased, I have been Sarahs best friend for 21 years. When she asked me to photograph her wedding, not only I get to be there front row to the whole day, I get to do that in one of the most breath taking places in the world.

Sarah and Francesco got married at 11am in the Town Hall (Commune di Como), an intimate ceremony with close family. Then followed a boat trip to Moltrasio, across Lake Como, to meet 110 guests, whom all travelled across the globe to be with them. We made a walk to the top of a hill, where La Moltransina sat, a restaurant who was the host of the second ceremony and party. I ensured I reached the top first, to get some shots of the wonderful ceremony room and details, the restaurant had a view of the lake and surrounding town. I captured the crowd strolling up the hill, all giddy with excitement for the rest of the day.

The rest of the day continues, with an emotional ceremony part 2, tasty focaccia, bottles of Prosecco and bi lingual speeches! A very special day for a special couple.
